Strategic meeting in Reykjavik

On June 19-22, 2018 Dean of Adizes Graduate School, Dr. Virginijus Kundrotas took part in the 18th EURAM Annual Conference in Reykjavik (Iceland), which was held at the University of Iceland.

More than 1700 researchers gathered together from 64 countries to discuss the issues of management research and its relevance to the society. The theme of the conference – Research in Action. The idea of the event is to empower researchers to explore the state of research and experiment with the aim of creating new insights. The conference started on the 19th and continued till the 22nd with many various kind of meetings, discussions, workshops, sessions. Dr. Virginijus Kundrotas, represented Baltic management development association (BMDA), which unites around 70 members from 24 countries. Adizes Graduate School is members of BMDA for number of years.

On June 21st Dr. Kundrotas together with other leaders of various associations discussed what should be done to make management research more relevant and better used by executives to improve their business. Also, the cooperation opportunities in that respect have been analyzed.

EURAM – The European Academy of Management is a researcher’s society founded in 2001. It aims at advancing the academic discipline of management in Europe. With members from 49 countries in Europe and beyond, EURAM has a high degree of diversity and provides its members with opportunities to enrich debates over a variety of research management themes and traditions.
